A child’s progress is monitored throughout the year by individual teacher assessment in all curriculum areas. Open Evenings are held on a termly basis. A written report on all children in the school is sent home at the end of the Summer Term. Parents may make an appointment with the staff at any time to talk about their child.
Each year the school carries out: a screening test in Year 1; statutory Standard Attainment Tasks in Y2; optional Standard Attainment Tasks in Y 3, Y4, Y5 and statutory Standard Attainment Tasks in Y6. Reception Class are assessed using the Foundation Stage Profile.
Pupils are encouraged to share responsibility for their own progress, developing strategies of self-evaluation and assessment.
