Bailiffe Bridge Junior & Infant School

Focused on the future

'Our children have always been very well supported - emotionally and academically. This is thanks to the great management team and all the staff. Thank you!' - Parent

Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA)

Our school achieved the LPPA award in November 2015. We have worked hard to improve our partnership with parents for the benefit of all our children. Read more about our achievements on this page.

'We're All In'

We have been awarded a grant from the National Lottery which we are using to fund our 'We're All In' project - providing clubs for children and parents to be active together - doing something new together for the first time.

Over the course of the year there will be a range of after school activities running and they are all absolutely free. Watch out for our half termly 'We're All In' letters telling you what is on offer. This half term many families have enjoyed Dodgeball and Circuits. What will we be doing next half term.....?

Meet the Teacher

Meet the Teacher took place during the week commencing 21st September. Workshops were held over 2 evenings at 3.30pm and 5.30pm. 50 parents attended the Reception/KS 1 workshops and 30 attended the KS 2 workshops. Feedback was really positive and these parents will be able to focus on discussing their child's learning at our October Parent/Teacher Consultation evening.

Parents said:

'Meet the teacher was really useful and informative.'

'It's a good idea to get to know the teacher. Told us about learning expectations for the year. I know how to help at home now.'

'It was actually good to 'meet the teacher' because I haven't met her before.'

'It was great to have the later option to meet rather than just having to be here for 3.15pm.'

Thank you to everyone who attended.

Parents & Children Learning Together

This half term there will be sessions after school on a Monday,Tuesday and Thursday from 3.15pm. (Orienteering, Rounders and Cricket). Class Workshops - Years 1 & 2

During the summer term, Classes 1 & 2 enjoyed a Puppet Show Workshop with their parents. Together they made puppets then practiced and performed their own shows. A great time was had by all!

Class Workshops - Years 3 & 4

In the spring term, 'Drummers United' joined classes 3 and 4 for an African drumming and dance workshop. Although initially reluctant to join in the dancing, our parents soon put their inhibitions to one side to learn alongside their children.

Class Workshops - Years 5 & 6

Classes 5 & 6 enjoyed sharing a 'Happy Puzzle' day with their parents. Learning was very practical and lots of problem solving skills were discovered!
