Curriculum
A new curriculum for primary schools was implemented in September 2014. These documents outline the end of year attainment expectations for years 1 - 6.
The links below will tell you what your child is learning in class across the year.
The school uses 'Letters and Sounds' to support the delivery of our phonics. The 'Jolly Phonics' scheme is used in EYFS and KS 1 to teach phonics and spelling and in KS 2 to teach spelling, punctuation and grammar.
If you are new to phonics, use this link to help you with the correct pronunciation.
Our reading scheme comprises of a number of different schemes that have been book banded into different colours. The dominant schemes we use are 'Oxford Reading tree', 'Phonics Bug Club' and 'Rigby Starr'.
