Our curriculum
The Bailiffe Bridge Design Technology (DT) curriculum fully aligns with the national curriculum. It inspires all children to be creative and imaginative, and provides them with the opportunity to design and make products that solve real and relevant problems within a variety of contexts.
Through progressive units of work and discrete lessons, children acquire a broad range of subject knowledge and skills while learning how to take risks. Our DT curriculum teaches children how to become resourceful, innovative, enterprising and capable citizens. These units of work also help children to develop a critical understanding of the impact of DT on daily life and the wider world.
Our curriculum aims to develop:
Year 5 learn how to make soup and bread at Lightcliffe Academy
Year 3 learn how to make biscuits at Lightcliffe Academy
Year 6 completing their alarming vehicles project
