Our Curriculum

 At Bailiffe Bridge School, we use the Charanga Musical Scheme to support the teaching and learning of Music. This scheme is fully aligned with the National Curriculum and aims to engage and inspire pupils to develop a love of music and their talents as musicians. 

Through progressive units of work and weekly discrete lessons, all children develop their:

  • listening and appraising skills
  • singing, playing, improvising and composing skills 
  • performing and evaluating skills 

The Music curriculum is further enhanced through a weekly singing assembly and Harvest and Christmas performances. All children in Key Stage 2 have the opportunity to join the school choir. In addition to this, children in Year 4 learn to play the ukelele.
