Our Curriculum

The Bailiffe Bridge School Computing curriculum, which is supported by the Purple Mash computing scheme, aligns with the national curriculum. It provides pupils with a high-quality computing education that will equip them to use computational thinking and creativity to understand and change the world. This will enable them to be content creators, not just content consumers.

The core of Computing is computer science. The children of Bailiffe Bridge School are taught the principles of information and computation, how digital systems work and how to put this knowledge to use through programming. Building on this knowledge and understanding, pupils are equipped to use information technology to create programs, systems and a range of content.

Our Computing curriculum, combined with cross-curricular learning opportunities, enable children to become digitally literate at a level suitable for the future workplace and as active, safe and responsible digital citizens in an increasingly digital world.
